How to determine the door swing direction?

It might seem like a trivial matter, but in reality, it is a very important decision because choosing the wrong door opening direction can be inconvenient and uncomfortable in daily use. So what should you pay special attention to when choosing the direction of door opening?

Firstly, consider the layout of the elements in the room and their functionality. Where are the communication routes located or will be located, and how much wall space do we have available? It is best when the doors open onto an empty wall, where there are no equipment elements such as mirror, coat hanger, or light switches. It is worth thinking about this at the stage of space planning. Usually, we follow the rule that maneuvering around the door is inconvenient and tiring for longer use, so it is assumed that if we approach the door from the right side, it should be left.

Right or Left?

Stand facing the door so that the door leaf opens towards you. If the hinges are on the right side, the door is referred to as right-handed. Conversely, if the hinges are on the left side, then it is considered left-handed. Below is an illustrative diagram.
